His steady leadership during challenging times made him a trusted voice in the realm of regional health issues. Dr. Piukala reflected on Dr. Tudravu’s “quiet strength, generosity of spirit, and unwavering commitment” to the people of Fiji, commending his courage and humility in times of national crises and health reforms.

Dr. Tudravu was instrumental in fostering collaboration and innovation among health leaders across the Pacific, emphasizing the importance of community-focused care. His efforts were showcased this year during the 76th WHO Western Pacific Regional Committee Meeting held in Nadi, as well as at the recent WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine in Delhi.

Dr. Piukala expressed that the wisdom, humor, and profound love for Fiji that Dr. Tudravu shared will be sorely missed. He expressed hope that Dr. Tudravu’s legacy would serve as a guiding light for health leaders in the years to come, promoting a continued dedication to the betterment of health across the Pacific Islands.
