New Hampshire is bracing for significant snowfall this weekend, with forecasts predicting up to 8 inches across various regions. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory effective from noon on Friday until 7 a.m. on Saturday, warning residents of rapidly deteriorating travel conditions.

The snow is expected to begin falling after 2 p.m. in Concord and its surrounding areas, with initial accumulations of up to 2 inches. As evening approaches, forecasters project temperatures will drop into the 20s, leading to another 3 to 5 inches of snow. Snowfall rates during the evening could exceed 1 inch per hour, causing potential challenges for commuters.

In Nashua and the southern portions of New Hampshire, mixed precipitation is anticipated until around 3 p.m., with about an inch of snow expected initially, followed by an additional 3 to 5 inches in the evening. The Seacoast will experience a mix of rain and snow through the afternoon, transitioning to snow after 4 p.m. By Saturday morning, there could be 4 to 6 inches of snow accumulation.

Looking ahead, Saturday afternoon and evening are expected to be clear, with temperatures rising into the 30s, while overnight lows will drop to the teens. Residents are encouraged to prepare for winter weather conditions and stay updated on forecasts as the storm approaches.
