Footage of a violent incident involving comedian Corey Holcomb and fellow comedian Cristina Payne has recently emerged, reigniting discussions surrounding their long-standing feud. The footage, released by an Instagram account known as The Bizi, captures a heated argument outside the Hollywood Improv that escalated when Holcomb punched Payne in the face.
This incident, which initially came to light in November 2024 when TMZ reported on the physical altercation, had no video evidence available at the time. In the aftermath, witnesses report that Holcomb was confronted by a group of men who were present during the altercation. Despite Payne filing a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department, Holcomb was never arrested. Shortly thereafter, he sought a temporary restraining order against Payne, but that request was ultimately dismissed.
The tension between Holcomb and Payne dates back over a decade, stemming from personal disagreements, including a past situation where Payne declined to engage in a relationship with Holcomb. In a statement to TMZ last February, Payne expressed frustration at how Holcomb was portraying the incident and emphasized her perspective that he was trying to manipulate the narrative to evade legal repercussions. She recalled a threatening remark from Holcomb during a confrontation last June, in which he told her he would “super sock this b*tch.”
As the situation continues to unfold, the absence of a response from Holcomb regarding the newly released footage leaves open questions about the ongoing conflict between the two comedians. The incident highlights the complexities of personal relationships in the entertainment industry, often intertwining professional rivalries with personal grievances.
