A devastating incident occurred yesterday along the Nausori Highlands route, claiming the life of a 15-year-old male student. The young victim was traveling with seven other students towards Nadi when their vehicle lost control while descending a steep slope.
According to reports, the vehicle overturned during the descent, causing all passengers to be ejected upon impact. Tragically, the vehicle then fell approximately 100 meters into a ravine. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, transporting the injured individuals to Nadi Hospital. Sadly, the 15-year-old was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities have confirmed that three other students remain hospitalized in stable condition, while the rest of the passengers, including the driver, were treated and later discharged. The Fiji Police Force is currently investigating the events that led to this heartbreaking accident.
