A 28-year-old man from Malolo is currently in police custody after being accused of trying to bribe a public servant and for possessing illegal drugs. The arrest took place in Nadi today when police conducted a search and reportedly discovered a zip-lock plastic bag containing a white substance, believed to be methamphetamine.
Following his arrest, the suspect allegedly attempted to persuade one of the officers by offering $500 in exchange for his release. Authorities have stated that investigations into the incident are ongoing as they work to gather more information regarding the case.
