The case surrounding the alleged murder of Police Constable Peniasi Racagi has now been officially moved to the High Court. Keni Solowale, 42, and Jope Seniloli, 20, appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court, facing charges linked to Racagi’s death.

The two individuals, both hailing from Qauia in Lami, are accused of assisting another person in inflicting injuries on Constable Racagi between February 21 and 22 of 2026, ultimately leading to his fatality. Magistrate Sofia Yamza characterized the allegations as serious, classifying them as an indictable offence.

While Seniloli has secured legal representation, Solowale currently does not have a lawyer. Both suspects have been remanded in custody and are set to return to court for their next hearing at the Suva High Court on March 19.

This development underscores the legal system’s ongoing efforts to address serious criminal cases, reflecting a commitment to justice for individuals who serve their communities.
