The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken the significant step of blacklisting Aditya Dhar’s B62 Productions due to ongoing violations observed during the filming of the movie “Dhurandhar: The Revenge.” This decision follows reports of multiple infractions associated with the production, particularly concerning the unauthorized use of fire torches during a recent shoot in Mumbai.

According to reports, the BMC acted on a complaint from a local resident regarding the use of fire torches by the film crew. The civic body confirmed that the “Dhurandhar” team was issued a verbal warning on site to cease the use of fire torches until the shoot concluded. However, despite the warning, five fire torches were later confiscated by the police at the location.

In response to these infractions, the BMC’s A-ward maintenance staff submitted a proposal to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Zone 1) recommending several actions. The recommendations included forfeiting a security deposit of Rs 25,000—held on the online permission platform—and blacklisting individuals Komal Pokhariyal and Nasir Khan, who had previously signed an undertaking prohibiting the use of fire during the production. The proposal also called for a penalty of Rs 1 lakh for breaching this undertaking.

Moreover, the production house will be barred from applying through the online facility of Maharashtra Film City, with a total penalty of Rs 1 lakh imposed due to the violation.

“Dhurandhar: The Revenge” is slated for a grand release on March 19, 2026. This film serves as a highly anticipated sequel to the successful “Dhurandhar,” which enchanted audiences with its debut on December 5, 2025, achieving remarkable box-office success. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the upcoming film boasts an impressive cast, including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Danish Pandor, and Sara Arjun.

While this incident presents challenges for B62 Productions, it highlights the importance of adhering to safety regulations during film shoots. Maintaining compliance ensures not only the wellbeing of the crew and the public but also the smooth progression of cinematic endeavors, paving the way for more successful collaborations in the future.
