Deadpool made a memorable entrance into Marvel Rivals this January as part of the action-packed Season 6, and the game is set to get even more exciting with the mid-season update featuring a new character: Elsa Bloodstone. Joining Wade Wilson’s team, Elsa brings her unique skills as a hunter, providing fresh dynamics to the gameplay and interactions within the team.

Equipped with a powerful rifle and shotgun, Elsa is adept at laying traps that can disrupt opponents and deal additional damage. According to Guangguang, the creative director of Marvel Rivals, “Elsa excels at reading her opponents,” skillfully maneuvering through combat to identify openings. When the moment is right, she charges in, employing the force of her elephant gun alongside her close-quarters combat expertise. The more damage she inflicts, the faster her weapon cooldowns become, encouraging players to masterfully switch between firearms while keeping the action intense.

A notable feature of Elsa’s arsenal includes a trap that summons a creature called Diablo, which can immobilize enemies, allowing her to strike decisively. Her ultimate ability unleashes the formidable Glartrox, a beast that stamps across the arena, adding a chaotic element to battles.

In an exciting twist, Elsa’s partnership with Deadpool and Jeff the Land Shark expands into a trio. In a reimagining of Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy Box Team-Up, Deadpool is set to enhance Elsa’s Breathing Gun, with modified bullets that not only partially blind opponents but also deliver his infamous one-liners at close range. This combination of gameplay mechanics promises to add an engaging layer of strategy and chaos, with players even able to recall shots to restore some health.

The mid-season update will also see significant shifts within the superhero roster, as the Fantastic Four is no longer united. Invisible Woman teams up with Doctor Strange in Psionic Mayhem, The Thing aligns with Hulk and Black Panther for the Gamma Charge, while Mister Fantastic joins forces with Rocket and Star-Lord in the Rocket Network. The whereabouts of Johnny Storm remain unknown, sparking curiosity among fans about his next move.

Overall, Season 6.5 is set to launch on February 13, promising exciting new gameplay experiences and character interactions that will enhance the Marvel Rivals landscape, capturing the essence of the franchise’s beloved characters and their unique abilities.
