Mac McClung has officially signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, filling one of the team’s two available slots. This move marks the fourth contract McClung has secured with the Bulls since going undrafted from Texas Tech in 2021. Initially, he joined Chicago on a pair of 10-day deals during his rookie season before signing an Exhibit 10 contract in the fall, which positioned him to play for their G League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls.
In his current G League campaign, McClung is showcasing his skills, averaging an impressive 25.4 points, 7.5 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 steals across 24 games, with a shooting line of .518 from the field, .353 from beyond the arc, and .813 from the free-throw line. His standout performances have solidified his reputation, despite having only made nine appearances in the regular NBA season across five teams since turning professional.
The 27-year-old is particularly well-known for his flair in the NBA slam dunk contests, where he emerged victorious in 2023, 2024, and 2025, although he has chosen not to defend his title this year.
As part of his new contract, McClung will be able to participate in up to 19 regular season games for the Bulls, joining Lachlan Olbrich and Yuki Kawamura as Chicago’s two-way players. This signing comes in the wake of a three-team trade that sent Emanuel Miller to Cleveland, further opening up a slot for McClung. With only the Milwaukee Bucks remaining with an open two-way position, the Bulls have solidified their roster with this strategic addition.
Overall, McClung’s journey reflects resilience and determination, proving that talent can shine through even in challenging circumstances.
