The Lautoka City Council is in the process of selecting a new chief executive officer in collaboration with recruitment firm KPMG, as announced by board chairperson Taitusi Rasoki. This announcement was made during the inauguration of the upgraded Lautoka bus terminal, a project that amounted to $2.8 million and was completed on schedule.

Rasoki underscored the significance of finding a qualified CEO to enhance the council’s service delivery. He expressed confidence that the right candidate, in tandem with the current special administrators and management team, could greatly improve the services offered to the residents of Lautoka.

He also took time to acknowledge the contributions of project consultants, West End Consulting PTE Ltd, and contractors, Hot Spring High Services PTE Ltd, for their timely and budget-compliant completion of the bus terminal upgrade. Rasoki noted that this new leadership appointment is part of their broader commitment to achieving visible and meaningful outcomes for the community, as evidenced by the launch of the terminal.
