The Brooklyn Nets are set to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET at Barclays Center. This highly anticipated matchup could mark the last time LeBron James plays in the arena, where he famously scored 40 points, shooting 9-of-10 from three during a standout performance in 2024.

The game will be broadcast on YES Network, with live streaming options available on fuboTV, which offers a free trial, and DIRECTV, also featuring a free trial.

LeBron James continues to make headlines as he has been selected as an All-Star for the 22nd consecutive year, extending his record for most selections in NBA history. Announced recently, James will join 14 other players as a reserve for the All-Star Game scheduled for February 15 at the Los Angeles Clippers’ home arena in Inglewood, California. Known for his impressive career, James has set records for the most All-Star game appearances and points scored in these contests.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick praised James for maintaining an extraordinary level of performance throughout his career, despite not being named a starter this season. The selection of reserves is determined by NBA coaches, reflecting their recognition of James’s enduring talent. Notably, James did not participate in last year’s All-Star event due to injury.

Notable players selected as reserves from the Eastern Conference include Donovan Mitchell of Cleveland, Karl-Anthony Towns from New York, and Pascal Siakam of Indiana, among others. From the Western Conference, alongside James are stars like Anthony Edwards from Minnesota and Jamal Murray from Denver, who has finally received his first All-Star selection after previously being overlooked.

This year’s All-Star Game introduces an innovative tournament format with three teams competing in 12-minute games, with two U.S. teams taking on a World team. The NBA is expected to reveal the roster details for each team.

The starters for the All-Star Game were announced last month, with LeBron James’s fellow West players including Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Nikola Jokic, while the East features stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry.

As fans gear up for the Lakers vs. Nets game, excitement is building not only for the matchup but also for the upcoming All-Star festivities, showcasing the talent of some of the league’s brightest stars. This game promises to be an unforgettable experience for basketball enthusiasts, especially if it indeed becomes a farewell chapter for LeBron at Barclays Center.
