Hot Bread Kitchen is shining a light on community involvement with the recent inauguration of its outlet at the Damodar Arts Village in Pacific Harbour. In an engaging initiative, the bakery is encouraging customers to participate in naming a new signature bread for the store.

Managing Director Vannessa Charters explained that this effort aligns with the company’s tradition of creating location-based products whenever they expand into new territories. Previous openings have seen the introduction of unique items such as the “Labasa Loaf” at the Labasa outlet and the popular Sigatoka “Saqamoli,” also known as Lolo Buns.

With the new store now catering to the Serua community, Charters aims to foster a sense of ownership among customers by allowing them to suggest names for the upcoming signature product. To enter the contest, patrons can visit the Pacific Harbour outlet, purchase any item, and fill out an entry form with their name idea. Participants are encouraged to submit multiple entries to promote community engagement and creativity.

Charters highlighted that the initiative celebrates the local culture and is designed to create a product that embodies the essence of the Pacific Harbour and Serua identity. Supporting this vision, Div Damodar, CEO of the Damodar Group of Companies, remarked that the new outlet contributes to a larger plan to enhance commercial activity within the area, aiming to attract more businesses to the Arts Village.

The naming competition will coincide with the new outlet’s launch period, with the winning entry destined to become the signature bread of the latest addition to Hot Bread Kitchen’s growing chain. This collaborative effort not only fosters a community spirit but also strengthens the bond between the bakery and its customers, ensuring that the new product resonates with local traditions and flavors.
