Fred Warner, the standout linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers, has expressed his eagerness to return to the field following a severe ankle injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the 2025 regular season. Despite his optimistic outlook, Warner understands that his return hinges on the team’s medical and coaching staff giving him the green light.

In a recent conversation on “The Ryen Russillo Show,” Warner stated, “I’m ready whenever they’re ready. You know what I’m saying? There are some Ts that got to be crossed, Is that got to be dotted. If it were just up to me, I’d be out there this weekend, but it’s unfortunately not that way.” He emphasized his current commitment to rigorous training, stating he is back to full football drills, and voiced hope for an eventual return.

The 49ers demonstrated remarkable resilience during their playoff opener, securing a dramatic 23-19 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles despite being significantly depleted in their linebacker corps. With Warner unavailable, the team relied on fifth- and sixth-string linebackers to achieve the upset against the reigning Super Bowl champions at Lincoln Financial Field.

Looking ahead, the 49ers are set to face the Seattle Seahawks in a Week 18 rematch this Saturday. Although it is likely that Warner will miss this game too, fans remain hopeful that, should the 49ers continue their success and advance to the NFC Championship Game, he may be ready to make a triumphant return.

Warner’s determination to rejoin his team adds an exciting layer to the 49ers’ playoff journey, as they aim to carry the momentum from their impressive win into future matchups.
