Fijian Drua CEO Jeff Miller is optimistic about the franchise’s future, asserting that they have established a robust foundation in professional rugby. His confidence comes after recently completing a week-long induction in Fiji, where he observed closely the operations of the club following a challenging 2025 Shop N Save Supermarket Super Rugby Pacific campaign.

Miller, with extensive experience in Australian rugby as a former coach, chairman, and CEO of various teams, including Rugby Australia and the Queensland Reds, is impressed by the Drua’s commitment to excellence. He believes their infrastructure and operational standards can compete with elite programs across the region.

Reflecting on his recent experiences, Miller emphasized the franchise’s world-class training facilities and its strong ties to the Fijian community as critical assets that differentiate the Drua. Although the results from the last season did not meet initial expectations, Miller remains hopeful that the lessons learned will enhance the team’s performance in the upcoming season. He highlighted the organization’s strong systems, a clear identity, and nationwide support as vital components for building a sustainable future for the Drua.

As the team prepares for the new season, they have scheduled pre-season matches against the Chiefs in New Zealand on January 30 and will face the Skipper Select team on February 6 at Churchill Park in Lautoka. The Drua will kick off their season at home against Moana Pasifika on February 14, signaling a fresh start and renewed determination for the franchise and its supporters.
