The Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Jese Saukuru, has expressed heartfelt congratulations to Fiji’s athletes and youth for a remarkable 2025. As the new year approaches, he has encouraged them to stay focused and committed to leading a drug-free lifestyle, setting their sights on the challenges awaiting them in 2026.
In his New Year’s address, Saukuru reflected on a year of significant accomplishments both locally and internationally. He commended athletes from various sports for their hard work and commitment in representing Fiji proudly on the world stage during key regional competitions, such as the Pacific Games and Oceania events.
“These achievements are a testament to the development initiatives we have implemented in sports,” he stated, acknowledging the crucial roles of administrators, coaches, trainers, and sporting organizations who have contributed to this success.
