The Fiji Commerce and Competition Commission has launched a 21-day public consultation focused on electricity tariffs, underscoring the significance of community engagement in decision-making processes. Minister for Commerce and Business Development, Esrom Immanuel, expressed his support for this initiative and encouraged citizens, businesses, as well as micro, small, and medium enterprises, to actively participate by sharing their perspectives and contributing to discussions regarding electricity costs.
With rising energy expenses being a major concern for both households and enterprises, Immanuel emphasized the Government’s commitment to ensuring that electricity remains affordable and accessible for all. He highlighted the importance of sustainable energy practices and the need for a stable economy in achieving this goal.
