As Fiji prepares to usher in the New Year, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) is urging all road users to exercise caution and responsibility amid the celebratory atmosphere. LTA Chief Executive Officer Irimaia Rokosawa highlighted the importance of making the New Year a time for joy and unity, while stressing the need to avoid tragedies that can arise from reckless behavior on the roads.
Rokosawa specifically warned against the practice of throwing water at moving vehicles, a tradition that has become popular during celebrations.
