The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant Secretariat has officially announced that Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) will serve as the official broadcaster for this year’s eagerly awaited Miss Pacific Islands Pageant. This partnership is designed to ensure that audiences in Fiji and across the Pacific can experience the excitement of the competition.

Pageant Director Ana Tuiketei shared her enthusiasm for collaborating with FBC to deliver exceptional television coverage for both local and international viewers. She highlighted the strong working relationship with Fiji’s national pageant organizers, who are essential in orchestrating the event.

In the lead-up to the pageant, contestants from seven Pacific Island nations are scheduled to arrive in Fiji this week, with their arrival expected by Saturday. They will be greeted in Nadi, where a series of activities such as team-building events, cultural showcases, and exclusive behind-the-scenes previews will take place during pageant week.

The reigning Miss Pacific Islands, Litiara Ellen from Samoa, is also set to arrive in Fiji on Friday. Tuiketei noted that preparations for Fiji’s contestant are progressing smoothly, underscoring Team Fiji’s commitment and dedication. It is especially significant, as this marks nearly a decade since Fiji last hosted the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant, with the previous Fijian titleholder crowned in 2016.

Tickets for the event are now available for purchase through Ticketmax, offering fans an opportunity to partake in the celebration. FBC TV Manager Sitiveni Halofaki expressed his excitement about the partnership and emphasized FBC’s commitment to improving broadcasting standards as Fiji’s national broadcaster. He confirmed that the pageant will not only be aired on FBC TV but will also be accessible for streaming via the Viti+ platform, reaching audiences in Fiji and an additional 16 countries worldwide.

This year’s Miss Pacific Islands Pageant promises to be a vibrant celebration that showcases the rich cultures and extraordinary talents of the Pacific Islands, fostering a sense of unity and pride among the participants and viewers alike.
