A tragic drone strike in eastern Ukraine has led to the deaths of twelve people near a company shuttle bus, according to regional authorities. Oleksandr Ganzha, the head of the regional military administration, revealed preliminary information through Telegram, which also noted that seven others were injured in the attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The energy firm DTEK, which operates locally, confirmed that the shuttle bus was transporting employees back from a mine when the strike occurred, categorizing the incident as a targeted attack. This heartbreaking event underscores the continuing violence in the area, further intensified by additional assaults that took place overnight and early Sunday, which resulted in at least three more fatalities. Disturbingly, a drone strike on a maternity hospital also left two women injured while giving birth.

The environment in Ukraine remains perilous, with ongoing attacks posing a constant threat to civilian safety. Nevertheless, the resilience and unity displayed by local communities and organizations continues to inspire hope. They are actively working to assist those impacted by the violence, fostering a spirit of support amid the challenges. The enduring aspiration for peace and stability persists, even as the region grapples with these tragic events.
