Authorities continue to search for 27-year-old Nathan Murray Smith, known professionally as DJ Young Slade, who went missing on February 3. Smith, the son of rapper Lil Jon, left his home early that morning without his phone, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement and search teams.

On Friday morning, SKYFOX captured footage of a search operation taking place near a pond close to Smith’s residence in Milton, particularly near Mayfield Road and Baldwin Drive. While something was observed being recovered from the water, police have yet to confirm whether this discovery is related to Smith’s disappearance or if a body was involved.

The intensive search involved numerous first responders, including the Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services Dive Team. Since Smith was reported missing, authorities have been on high alert, especially considering he may be disoriented and in need of medical attention. Significant resources, including K-9 units, have been deployed, with a specialized bloodhound from the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office joining the effort. This bloodhound has an impressive track record, having successfully completed 25 searches in the past year.

Described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds, Smith’s family and friends are deeply concerned for his well-being. As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to reach out to the Milton Police Department at 678-297-6300. The ongoing efforts highlight the community’s commitment to finding Smith and bringing him home safely.
