The judicial review ruling regarding former FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali has been postponed to Monday, creating anticipation around the court’s decision. Originally scheduled to be announced this afternoon, Justice Dane Tuiqereqere informed the courtroom that the ruling would now take place at the beginning of the week.

Justice Tuiqereqere has reviewed the Commission of Inquiry (COI) report, which is central to the case. The High Court judge is also expected to address a leave application related to the case, wherein Malimali, alongside two other parties, is contesting the conclusions drawn in the COI report.

The delay provides an opportunity for further scrutiny of the findings, and it remains to be seen how the court’s eventual decision will impact both the individuals involved and the broader implications for the Commission of Inquiry’s processes.
