Extra Bula FC head coach Stéphane Auvray praised the team’s discipline in their recent OFC Pro League match, which ended in a goalless draw against South Island United on Tuesday night. The match was marked by intense competition, as both teams fought hard to secure an advantage. However, clear scoring opportunities were limited, making the game more about tactical maneuvers and mental resilience.

Auvray had anticipated the match would be tightly contested, stressing the significance of defensive strength for both squads. During halftime, he reminded his players to maintain their focus, noting that while the match might lack visual excitement, it was rich in strategic depth.

The coach expressed contentment with the effort his players demonstrated, although he acknowledged an urgent need to enhance their finishing skills. “The players worked hard. Again, we got the chances and we should have scored them. But this is a matter of time. Once we start to do this, I think again we’re going to be in a good place,” Auvray stated with optimism.

Looking forward, Extra Bula FC is set to take on Tahiti United on the 15th of this month. With continued determination and development, the team is eager to convert their hard work into goals and victories, fostering hope for achieving greater success in the league.
