Bula FC is set to embark on a momentous journey this Saturday as they prepare for their inaugural match in the new OFC Pro League. This encounter not only marks the club’s first competitive outing but also represents the start of a new era in Pacific football, where the first goal, first win, and first starting eleven will soon be etched into the league’s history.

Acting Chief Commercial Officer Naziah Ali Krishna emphasized the significance of this match, asserting that it is a celebration of milestones that fans will cherish. “The first goal, the first win, and the first players to ever take the field in this league will all come from this game. That is something we can all celebrate,” she stated.

As anticipation builds just two weeks before kickoff, Ali Krishna expressed excitement about introducing fans to the carefully assembled team that will represent Fiji on the professional stage. “This is when people will really get to know the team we have put together. Based on the selection process, I feel we have assembled the best that Fiji can provide at the moment,” she remarked.

Expectations are high for the historic opener, with Ali Krishna believing it will showcase the hard work of the coaching staff and players in the lead-up to the season. “There is a lot of excitement around the team, the coach, and everyone involved. Everyone is really looking forward to this first match,” she added.

Ali Krishna also reached out to supporters, particularly the Fijian diaspora in Auckland, urging them to rally behind the new club as it begins its journey. “Bula FC is Fiji’s national professional club. We did not exist a few months ago, but we will be flying the Fijian flag when the first match begins,” she noted. She emphasized the importance of fan support and highlighted the formation of supporter groups that will travel with the team throughout the region.

“As we countdown to the start of this season, Bula FC’s debut promises to be the first chapter in a narrative filled with history, ambition, and numerous firsts to come,” Ali Krishna concluded.

Bula FC will kick off their historic campaign against Vanuatu United FC this Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland, with the match scheduled for a 2 PM start, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting new chapter for Fijian football.
