BULA FC head coach Stephane Auvray has underscored the importance of professionalism and team culture as pivotal elements for the club as they gear up for the highly anticipated OFC Pro League set to kick off in January.

With the return of overseas-based players, Auvray has expressed satisfaction with their smooth integration into the local squad, highlighting how their presence has contributed to the professional atmosphere the team aims to cultivate. “Yes, they were all welcomed, I wanted them to bring in that professionalism that we’re getting, which they are doing,” Auvray noted.

Understanding the high expectations surrounding the team, especially from the overseas players, Auvray emphasized the necessity for these athletes to adapt to the team’s culture to facilitate a seamless transition. He remarked, “There’s obviously a thin line for them of being demanding and adapting to the culture as we are getting ourselves ready for professional football.”

Auvray described the training camp as crucial in preparing players, allowing them to gain valuable insights into the demands of professional football. With many players poised to experience their first professional league, the coaching staff is concentrating on enhancing endurance, athleticism, and technical skills to ensure the team is equipped to meet the challenges of the Pro League.

Currently, the team is in the midst of a rigorous two-week training camp at the Fiji Football Academy in Ba, which will conclude for the Christmas holidays. After a short break, training will resume and continue until the start of the OFC Professional League in January.

This proactive approach not only highlights Bula FC’s commitment to developing its players but also sets a positive tone as the team prepares to compete at a higher level. The blend of local and international talent, combined with focused training and a strong team culture, positions Bula FC for an exciting season ahead.
