A new nonstop flight service to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in South Carolina is set to launch from John Glenn Columbus International Airport, starting May 8, 2026. Breeze Airways announced the addition, which marks the first direct flight from Columbus to the Greenville-Spartanburg area and becomes the airline’s tenth nonstop route operating out of Columbus.
The Columbus Regional Airport Authority expressed enthusiasm for this development, highlighting the growing demand for diverse travel options within the city. Betsy Taylor, the Airport Authority’s Passenger Airline Business Development Manager, emphasized the positive impact of this new route, stating, “We are grateful that Breeze Airways recognizes the growing demand for travel options in Columbus and continues to invest in our community with the addition of the new nonstop destination to the Blue Ridge Mountains.” This announcement comes amidst a record-breaking year for the airport, which served 9.36 million passengers.
