Singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde has revealed that her new single, “What If We Don’t,” will be released on Friday, January 23, through Warner Records Nashville. This song serves as the first glimpse of McBryde’s eagerly awaited fifth studio album.
In reflecting on the song’s origins, McBryde shared, “‘What If We Don’t’ came to me, Terri Jo Box, and Randall Clay sitting around a fire pit on a back porch, reminiscing on all the moments that we could’ve made a different choice and wondering if we should’ve. It’s about the leaps of faith that you do or don’t take, and having to learn to live with those consequences either way.” This deep and introspective approach to songwriting showcases her ability to connect with listeners on a personal level.
In addition to her upcoming single, McBryde will also reinstate her critically acclaimed Redemption Residency with performances scheduled for 2026. Kicking off this next adventure, she will deliver two special “Just Me + My Shadow” solo acoustic shows on January 22 and 23 at Chief’s Neon Steeple on Nashville’s Lower Broadway. This return is highly anticipated and promises to be an intimate and memorable experience for her fans.
With a blend of heartfelt lyrics and engaging live performances, McBryde continues to solidify her place in the music industry as a powerful storyteller and captivating artist. Her fans can look forward to both her new single and the exciting upcoming performances that celebrate both her past and future musical journey.
