Lunden Roberts, the former girlfriend of Hunter Biden, has requested that a court impose jail time on him due to allegations of failing to fulfill child maintenance obligations. In a recent motion filed in Arkansas, Roberts, who is the mother of Biden’s seven-year-old daughter, Navy Joan Roberts, accused him of disregarding court orders and asserted that he should face incarceration as a penalty for his alleged contempt of court.

Roberts has suggested that Biden be detained at the Independence County Detention Centre until he complies with the court’s directives. She argued that his actions not only disrespect the court’s authority but warrant serious consequences.

This development is part of an ongoing legal dispute regarding support for their child, a situation complicated by a history of scandal for Biden. Initially, he denied paternity, but a DNA test in 2019 confirmed him as the father. Until that point, both Hunter Biden and his father had reportedly been reluctant to acknowledge the existence of Navy Joan.

Hunter Biden’s legal challenges have not been limited to this child maintenance case. Earlier in 2023, he struck a deal with prosecutors involving guilty pleas to two misdemeanor tax charges. A separate charge for illegal gun possession was dropped as part of this agreement, which followed Biden’s admission of long-term struggles with drug and alcohol issues and an acceptance of rehabilitation.

As the situation unfolds, it continues to highlight the complexities of Hunter Biden’s personal life amidst his ongoing legal battles. The case’s developments are being closely watched, reflecting broader societal issues related to parental responsibilities and legal accountability.
