Overall snowfall totals could reach 1-2 inches in most areas, with some localized spots near Lapeer and Ann Arbor potentially seeing up to 3 inches. The arrival of this system will also usher in colder air, with temperatures starting near 20°F early Monday morning before plummeting to the low teens by the afternoon.
Tuesday morning is set to be chilly, with lows dropping into the low single digits. Winds from the west at 10-15 mph will result in wind chills ranging from -10°F to -15°F. Afternoon highs on Tuesday will remain in the mid to upper teens, but the wind will make it feel closer to 0°F. Some lake effect snow showers may also occur throughout the day.
As the week progresses, another winter storm is projected to arrive on Wednesday, bringing additional snow showers across Metro Detroit.
