Apple TV+ is ramping up the excitement for its upcoming limited series, The Off Weeks, with the addition of Arian Moayed, known for his role as Stewy Hosseini in HBO’s hit series Succession. The show, which stars and is executive-produced by renowned actors Ben Stiller and Jessica Chastain, is being developed by executive producer and showrunner Alissa Nutting.

In The Off Weeks, Moayed takes on the role of Angelo, the boss of Gus Adler, portrayed by Stiller. The narrative centers around Gus, a writing professor navigating the tumult of his life post-divorce. The plot intricately weaves through the chaos he experiences, particularly during “off weeks” when he is without his children, leading him to form a complicated relationship with Stella West, a mysterious character played by Chastain. This relationship becomes increasingly tumultuous, placing Gus’ responsibilities and personal desires in a precarious position.

Moayed’s previous work on Succession garnered him Emmy nominations for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in both 2022 and 2023, highlighting his talent and versatility. In addition to his acclaimed role in Succession, he has appeared in popular titles such as Netflix’s Nobody Wants This Season 2, Inventing Anna, and Ms. Marvel. His future projects include a role in Marvel Television’s Wonder Man and films like Guy Ritchie’s Fountain of Youth.

The Off Weeks marks a reunion for Chastain and Moayed, who recently starred together in a Broadway revival of A Doll’s House, which premiered at the Hudson Theatre in 2023. The series is further bolstered by a team of executive producers, including John Lesher, Dean Bakopoulos, and Kelly Carmichael.

While the release date for The Off Weeks has not yet been announced, the anticipation continues to build, with fans eager to see how this star-studded cast will bring the gripping story to life. The combination of Stiller, Chastain, and Moayed promises an engaging exploration of personal struggle and complex relationships, making it one of the most anticipated new series on Apple TV+.
