Apple Music has partnered with Sony to provide PlayStation Plus members with a compelling offer of three free months of its music streaming service. This initiative aims to attract new subscribers as the year comes to a close. The promotion features discounted options for returning Apple Music users, depending on their previous subscription status.
To take advantage of this offer, PlayStation Plus members need to have an Apple account, which can be created if not already available. Users should follow a straightforward process on their PlayStation 5: download the Apple Music app from the media section, open it, and sign in with their Apple account to redeem the promotion. However, it’s important to note that this offer isn’t applicable if users currently hold an active Apple Music subscription or are in the middle of a free trial, with some reports indicating that even returning subscribers may not receive the offer for free, but will still benefit from considerable discounts.
Valued at over $30, considering that Apple Music’s standard individual plan is priced at $10.99 per month, this offer targets the sizable demographic of console gamers, of which approximately 45% own a PlayStation 5, significantly more than the 23% who own an Xbox.
In addition to this collaboration, Apple Music has been actively expanding its reach. Recently, General Motors revealed the integration of Apple Music into certain vehicles’ infotainment systems, including select models from Cadillac and Chevrolet, further widening the platform’s accessibility and promoting its growth within the subscriber base.
