In a heartwarming display of fashion and familial ties, Apple Martin attended the premiere of her mother Gwyneth Paltrow’s latest film, Marty Supreme, in New York City on Tuesday night. The 21-year-old took a page from her mother’s style book by donning a striking black Calvin Klein Collection dress that Paltrow originally wore to the 1996 premiere of Emma, a film adaptation of Jane Austen’s work. The occasion was made even more special as Paltrow was accompanied by both of her children, Apple and Moses, the latter sporting a sleek Dior look.

Apple’s classic black dress mirrored her mother’s timeless elegance from over two decades ago. Alongside her sophisticated outfit, she opted for minimal jewelry and a casually styled up-do, completing her homage to Paltrow’s iconic look from the past. Their close bond was evident, with Paltrow previously expressing her admiration for Apple, stating that she thinks her daughter is “so freaking cool.”

Their connection in fashion has grown closer recently, as they collaborated on a campaign for Gap Studio, where Paltrow revealed Apple enjoys exploring her extensive fashion archives. She noted, “She pulls all kinds of stuff. She’s very into all my ’90s Calvin, of which there’s a lot — and the ’90s Prada, of which there’s a lot.” Their playful dress-up sessions showcasing Paltrow’s iconic gowns have become a cherished activity.

Martin, reflecting on her mother’s influence, mentioned, “She’s such a badass when it comes to fashion and has just done what she wants and doesn’t really care. I feel like I’m finally getting to the place where I don’t really care what people think. She influenced me.”

Paltrow stars alongside Timothée Chalamet and Odessa A’zion in Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie. The film will debut in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, before a wider release on Christmas Day. This premiere not only celebrates Paltrow’s new project but also highlights the inspiring legacy she is passing down to her daughter, both in life and in fashion.
