Al-Ittihad’s player Abdulrahman Al-Aboud remains sidelined as he continues to undergo individual training at the club’s fitness center in Jeddah. This decision comes from the team’s Portuguese coach, Sergio Conceição, and has resulted in Al-Aboud missing several matches, including the upcoming encounter against Al-Kholood. Previously, he was absent from matches against Al-Shabab, Neom, and Al-Taawoun.

At 30 years old, Al-Aboud has participated in ten matches this season, amassing 219 minutes of play, with six appearances in the Roshn Saudi Professional League. This situation is not new for him; he has faced previous individual sanctions since 2023 during the tenure of former coach Nuno Santo, which were described as technical decisions. His exclusion reoccurred under coach Marcelo Gallardo, resulting in the club’s management ultimately deciding to loan him to his former team, Al-Ettifaq, for the remainder of the season starting in January 2024.

As Al-Ittihad gears up for their match against Al-Kholood on Friday evening, the players have their main training session scheduled for Thursday afternoon. Currently, Al-Ittihad sits in sixth place in the Saudi League standings, having earned 23 points from seven wins, two draws, and three losses this season. The team continues to strive for improvement as they navigate the league challenges.
