Kylie Minogue Brings Rainy Day Magic to 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade

Kylie Minogue shone brightly at the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, bringing a lively touch to the otherwise rainy day in New York City.

On the morning of November 28, the Australian pop star captivated the audience with an energetic three-song medley that included the hits “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” “Slow,” and “Padam Padam.” Dressed in a chic black and red ensemble, she performed alongside a troupe of dancers, all while the iconic Macy’s Herald Square store served as the backdrop. The event was broadcast live on NBC and streamed on Peacock, making it a highlight of the cherished holiday tradition.

In a lighthearted moment shared on her Instagram Story afterward, Minogue expressed her joy, saying, “Macy’s, what just happened? OK, that was fun, that was fun singing and dancing in the rain. Thanks for having me. I’m going to go dry off.” This was her second appearance at the parade, having previously graced the event in 2010 with a performance of “Get Outta My Way.”

Currently promoting her latest album, Tension II, Minogue is gearing up for a big global tour scheduled for 2025.

The parade also featured a vibrant display of nearly two dozen beloved balloons, such as Snoopy, Bluey, Minnie Mouse, and new additions like Gabby, Goku, and Spider-Man. Other notable performers included Jennifer Hudson, T-Pain, Chloë Bailey, Idina Menzel, Dan + Shay, Billy Porter, and Cynthia Erivo, delivering a diverse array of entertainment.

As the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade concluded, it featured a grand lineup of 34 floats, 11 marching bands, seven “balloonicles,” and 28 clown crews, ensuring the event overflowed with holiday spirit and cheer.

This year’s parade not only provided a festive atmosphere but also showcased the resilience of artists like Minogue, who continue to connect with their audiences despite the weather. It serves as a reminder that even on rainy days, joy and celebration can fill the air.
