Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold, and with that milestone the team behind the game has confirmed final resolution and frame‑rate targets for Xbox consoles as well as a set of accessibility features that will be delivered at launch and in a post‑launch update. The game, which is set in Japan, will arrive on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC on May 19, with early access for Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade owners beginning on May 15.

On Xbox Series X, players will be able to choose between two modes. Quality Mode runs at native 4K and is locked to 30 frames per second, prioritising visual fidelity. Performance Mode targets 4K at 60fps but uses dynamic resolution scaling so the game can maintain a smooth 60fps experience during demanding scenes. Microsoft’s release notes describe the Performance option as “targeting 4K resolution, scaling dynamically to maintain a smooth 60fps.”

Xbox Series S will offer similar mode choices tuned to the console’s hardware. Quality Mode will run at 1440p and 30fps, while Performance Mode aims for 1080p at 60fps, with both options employing dynamic resolution scaling to keep the framerate stable. Those console details complete the platform picture after PC technical specs were disclosed separately in recent developer updates.

Accessibility is a prominent part of the final build. Forza Horizon 6 includes a Proximity Radar designed to help identify cars in blind spots, an AutoDrive feature that allows the CPU to take control of the vehicle, and a new High Contrast Mode to make important objects easier to distinguish. In addition, the game will support both American Sign Language and British Sign Language for cutscenes via a picture‑in‑picture interpreter — functionality the team says will arrive in a post‑launch update.

Going gold means the master build has been finalised and sent for duplication and distribution, signalling that no further large content changes are expected before retail and digital launches. The announcement should reassure players and retailers that shipping and digital certification will proceed on schedule ahead of the May release window.

Forza Horizon 6 will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, as previously confirmed. The title is being positioned as one of Xbox’s marquee releases for May 2026; these console performance targets indicate the studio has balanced high‑fidelity visuals and smooth framerates across both Series X and the lower‑spec Series S via mode selection and dynamic scaling.

With the gold milestone reached and final console performance numbers now public, the next major dates for players are early access on May 15 for Premium buyers and the full launch on May 19. Further post‑release updates are already planned to expand accessibility options such as ASL and BSL support for cutscenes.
