Aston Martin Launches Elite Valkyrie LM: A Track-Only Dream for Select Few

Aston Martin has unveiled a limited-edition track-only version of its Valkyrie Hypercar, named the Valkyrie LM, with only 10 units available for select high-level customers. This exclusive model is a rear-wheel drive variant, powered by a modified lean-burn version of the LMH’s renowned 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, delivering the same regulation-limited power of 520 kW (697 hp) as its race counterparts but recalibrated to run on commercially available fuel.

While the Valkyrie LM shares much with the race cars competing in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and IMSA series, it has been uniquely adapted to cater to amateur drivers. Key items specific to racing, including ballast and certain FIA-regulation electronics, will be stripped away, while a bespoke cockpit interface designed for optimal track day use will replace competitive components. Notably, the LM will utilize an open-loop torque control system that simplifies the driving experience, as it omits the complex sensors found in race cars.

Maintaining high performance, the Valkyrie LM features a seven-speed sequential transmission similar to the racing version, operated through a semi-automatic paddle shift system. The vehicle’s advanced suspension setup includes double wishbones at both front and rear, augmented with adjustable aspects to enhance handling. Instead of Michelin tires, the LM will be equipped with specially designed performance tires from Pirelli.

Aston Martin’s Head of Endurance Motorsport, Adam Carter, emphasizes the closeness of the Valkyrie LM to the racing variant while ensuring a more accessible driving experience. Owners of this exclusive hypercar will benefit from a dedicated program that includes a unique storage solution, specialized track days, and personalized driver coaching from Aston Martin engineers.

Deliveries are set to commence in Q2 2026, featuring an exclusive handover event, with additional track days planned for the third and fourth quarters of 2026 at premier race circuits. Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark highlights the delectable driving experience the Valkyrie LM provides, reinforcing the company’s commitment to giving owners access to the exhilarating performance characteristic of its racing lineage.

With the Valkyrie LM, Aston Martin reinforces its legacy in creating unparalleled driving experiences and offers a chance for enthusiasts to engage with cutting-edge automotive technology in a way that was previously reserved for professional race drivers.
